I'm ready to throw Alltell under a bus...twice...just for good measure!

What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.
cingular is the [censored].. you cant get it back there... but once they expand their service.. you guys will be happy an dshould see alltell move out of the area..
I had a friend to tell me that Cingular was looking to expand service in this area, and would be offices in BSG and Norton. I hope how soon that happens. Cingular doesn't have signal when you get on the Wise County side of Abingdon.
Whatever you do, Don't get Verizon.

Why?
A buddy of mine who lives in Norton has a Verizon phone and he's always liked it. They hooked him up with a better phone for free as well, when his first phone died.
"There he goes, one of Gods own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die"
My son has verizon and has had no problems what so ever.

Cingular has one of the smnallest coverage areas in the country, and you can only get service when there is a cingular owend tower close by, they cover nly about 15% of the united states, At least with alltel, you can get a signal as long as there is a tower, whether its an alltel tower or not. Personal I would never have cingular, nextel or suncom even if they were free! Alltel has the absolute largest service area of any other provider, by a tremendous margin!
Rollover minutes are basically a rip-off. If you have a bunch of minutes left over at the end of the month you are paying for more minutes than you really need.
I pay $59.95 for my service and $9.95 to add another phone for my wife. We share 900 anytime minutes, anywhere in the country. I know that doesn't sound like a lot of minutes for that price, but there is a lot more to it. We have unlimited nights & weekends, unlimited mobile to mobile (any Alltel customer) and unlimited calling to any 10 people we chose, mobile or land, any company. Calls to those 10 people count as mobile to mobile minutes. As of yesterday, just on my phone, I had only used 141 anytime minutes and 103 night and weekend minutes. But I had used 2,839 mobile to mobile minutes, with most of those being to land based phones. That many minutes would have cost a fortune with another company.
When I need to make a call I don't have to worry about paying roaming charges, I don't have to wonder if I have enough minutes left, and I normally don't have a problem getting service. I just can't see myself ever leaving Alltel.

HOW'S THAT HOPE AND CHANGE WORKING OUT FOR YA ??????

Only problem I have with Alltel is that there is no use to even have a cell phone if you live in Appy. It's a black hole of signal loss up there.

I would imagine that will be the case no matter what provider you have.
